The Tripods were able to control people by capping and hypnotizing them. Also, when the Tripods finished hypnotizing them, they will make them slaves and when they do, they will make humans' lives more miserable. As you can see, the Tripods were able to control people really easily and were much stronger than the humans too. In this case, it is hard for the humans to escape from the Tripods.
2. Find evidence ( quotations from the novel ) to show that even though Will is comfortable living at the castle, he is frustrated that the Comte, Comtesse, and Eloise have been capped.
I found a good evidence that proves that Will is really frustrated because that the Comte, Comtesse, and Eloise had been capped on page 116 paragraph one. It says "More and more I had despised them for it- despised even, for all their kindness to me and their goodness, the Comte and Comtesse."
3. Find evidence (quotes) to show how Will feels about being capped.
I found one really good evidence in how Will feels about being capped on page 108 paragraph 5. It says "No. After all, they are capped. They have different customs, but they obey the Tripods. They are still slaves. They treat us kindly, but they must not know our plans."
