1. The benefits of working with a classmate.
I think its a brilliant idea to work with a partner on our lit circles because we could get a really good grade and much better than we did ourselves. It also helps to talk together about what we needed to have on our lit circles because we really want to have a great lit circles so that we could get at least higher than a B. We could also agree with our passages, questions, connections, and vocabualry. Sometimes when my partner sent her half lit circle to me, I always say, "This is one excellent passage" or "Nah, this passage aint that good." So whenever we do our lit circles, we always have to think creatively, communicate effectively, collaborate constructively, and reason critically.
2. Challenges/obstacles which you overcome (tried to overcome)
When I do my lit circles, challenges always came up to me. The book Maroo of the Winter Caves is a really challenging book because everyday, we had to do three/four chapters. And also, we had to find a really good passage and question because those are the things in the lit circles that I found not really easy. But I do not give up. I always tried to overcome this challenge that I have. I tried harder and harder to get a better grade. Everytime I do my lit circles, I always improved on it so that's the thing I am always proud of.
3. New understandings that you gained about the novel
I found out that I missed some important parts of the book that I have to read. It is important because if you missed it, you don't always understand a lot about the book. So that's why I read the chapters over to find the part that I missed.
